Director: Becky Duvall
Becky Duvall, a native of
Birmingham, Alabama
is in her 19th year as an educator with the Gwinnett County School System. Presently, she is Director of Choral
Activities at
Collins Hill High School
after having taught at Dacula Elementary for 12 years. Under her direction, Collins
Hill Chamber Choir performed at the GMEA/Southern Division MENC Conference in 2003. Ms. Duvall earned her Bachelors Degree
in Music Education at
Samford
University
and her Masters Degree in Music Education from the
University of Georgia
. Ms. Duvall holds membership in Georgia
Music Educator’s Association, Music Educators National Conference and Association
of Choral Director’s Association. Ms.
Duvall has represented Dacula Elementary twice as Teacher of the Year and has been
listed in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
Ms. Duvall has conducted honor choirs both in
Georgia
and in
Texas
where she began her teaching career.
Numerous times Ms. Duvall has accompanied for honor choirs.
She has served as accompanist and choir director of various churches in the
Atlanta
area.
Director: David Langley
David Langley is in his 5th
year at Collins Hill, having previously taught elementary music for 2 years in Fulton
County. A native of Smyrna, he is a graduate of the University of Georgia, completing
both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education with a minor in Theatre
Arts. Mr. Langley is also on staff
as an adjunct instructor at Georgia Perimeter College, teaching courses in Music
Appreciation. In addition to Chorus, Mr. Langley teaches A.P. Music Theory and serves
as the coach for the Literary Team.
